If any debris enters the slide switch, or if your water pressure is not optimal, then it can impact the performance of the slide switch.
This can typically be resolved by adding a couple drops of olive oil in the gap where the switch slides back and forth, then wiggle it back and forth several times.
The aerator may also need to be cleaned. The purpose of the aerator is to catch debris, which can cause a reduction in water pressure and disrupt the slide switch. The slide switch requires adequate (at least 1.6 GPM) water pressure to stay activated in Spray Mode so it does not slip back to the Laminar Flow mode. We recommend cleaning your Galley Tap aerator every 6-12 months depending on water quality and frequency of use.
Here is a video demonstrating how to remove the aerator: Aerator replacement.
*This process will require the use of the aerator key which would have been included with your Tap upon delivery.
If the issue persists, then you may need to confirm that your water pressure is within the Optimal Pressure Range of 60 PSI ≤ 75 PSI.
